Allergic reactions to ingredients in food have been highlighted lately in the news following tragic and avoidable deaths from inappropriate and insufficient information displayed about products and possible allergens.
Food labelling Regulation 2008 - states that all allergens should be declared on the label
It is now law to display the full ingredients and allergen information for all products sold even if they are made on the premises.
Allergic reactions can be fatal

EGGS - mayonnaise, cakes, mousse, pasta, sauce, quiche

FISH - Anchovies, salmon, cod

LUPIN - Flour

MILK - Yoghurt , cream, cheese, butter, milk powder.

MOLLUSCS- mussels, squid
8.
MUSTARD - mustard seeds
9.
NUTS
- walnuts, hazelnuts, brazil, cashew, pecan, pistachio, macadamia, almonds

PEANUTS

SESAME SEEDS- sesame oil

SOYA BEANS
13.
SULPHUR DIOXIDE / SULPHITES- preservative in wines and beers and dried fruits
